Principle: The amount of β-rays absorbed by the dust particles is directly proportional to the mass of the dust particles. The mass concentration (mg / m3) of the dust is measured according to the amount of β-rays absorbed by the dust particles.

BAM-1020 is controlled by an advanced microprocessor system to realize fully automated measurement. At the beginning of sampling, the emitted β-rays are measured through the clean surface of a filter belt, and then the cross section of the filter belt is pushed to the sampling port, the particulate matter is drawn into the sampling port and deposited on the filter paper, when the sampling is over, the filter belt returns At its original position, the beta rays through the cross section are re-measured, and the difference between the two measurement results is used to accurately obtain the particle concentration.
Using the principle of β-ray attenuation to measure the mass particle density, a small 14C ray source (β-ray) is connected to a sensitive detector for calculating the emitted β-particles. The filter belt is placed between the β-ray source and the detector. When the particles deposited on the filter belt increase, the β particles detected on the detector will decrease.
