Editor's note: From today, we will continue to share the easy-to-understand green for you. Printing policy, standards, technology, experience, welcome attention!
At present, the implementation of green printing has become the trend of the printing industry, many companies have begun to implement green printing, and achieved good results. So, what are the basis for these companies to implement green printing? Or, what are the reference contents of these enterprises when implementing green printing?
As the saying goes, there are no rules and no rules. The "rules" for implementing green printing are all kinds of standards.
But at present, the various standards for implementing green printing can be described as diverse and dazzling, and I don't know where to start. To further clarify this issue, let's start with the classification of the most basic standards.
Generally speaking, according to whether it is enforced, we divide the standards into two categories, one is mandatory and the other is recommended.
Mandatory standard
Mandatory standards are explicitly required by the state through legal forms. For the technical content specified by some standards, it is not allowed to violate or change them for any reason or manner. In other words, this standard is enforced and no compromises are allowed at the time of execution. From the scope of implementation, such standards are mainly divided into mandatory national standards, mandatory industry standards and mandatory local standards.
There are many mandatory standards.
At the national level, depending on the size and scope of business, there are dozens or even hundreds of mandatory standards that enterprises need to implement. The following standards are mandatory standards closely related to the implementation of green printing:
Integrated wastewater discharge standard (GB 8978-1996)
General industrial solid waste storage and disposal site pollution control standards (GB 18599-2001)
Comprehensive emission standards for atmospheric pollutants (GB 16297-1996)
Environmental noise emission standards for industrial enterprises' boundary (GB 12348-2008)
......
At the local level, the following mandatory standards are required to attract close attention from companies:
Local Standards of Guangdong Province - Volatile Organic Compounds Emission Standards for Printing Industry (DB44/815-2010)
Beijing Local Standards - Volatile Organic Compounds Emission Standards for Printing Industry (DB11/1211-2015)
Shanghai Local Standards - Emission Standards for Air Pollutants in the Printing Industry (DB31/872-2015)
......
If your business is in the above-mentioned administrative area, you also need to implement these mandatory standards.
Recommended standard
The recommended standards, also known as non-mandatory standards or voluntary standards, refer to the standards of production, exchange, use, etc., which are voluntarily adopted through economic means or market regulation.
It is worth noting that although the recommendation standard emphasizes “voluntaryâ€, once it is quoted by laws and regulations, or is declared to be used, it is clearly stated in the product specification, label , and trademark. It is also considered to be mandatory. . In other words, this "voluntary" is limited.
-----China Environmental Label Certification Standard
There are many recommended standards. For example, China Environmental Labeling Certification is also known as the “10-ring certificationâ€. The technical basis for certification is a recommendation standard. If the printing company can pass this certification, it will get the “green printing certification†that we often mention.
A printing company that meets the following criteria will receive an “Environmental Mark Certificationâ€:
Environmental Labeling Products Technical Requirements Printing Part I: Lithography (HJ 2503-2011)
Environmental Labeling Products Technical Requirements Printing Part II: Commercial Paper Printing (HJ2530-2012)
Environmental Labeling Products Technical Requirements Printing Part III: Gravure Printing (HJ2539-2014)
-----Green printing series standard
At the beginning of this year, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television approved the official release of a series of printing industry standards for green printing, including:
Green printing terminology (CY/T 129-2015)
General requirements and evaluation methods for green printing - Part 1: lithographic (CY/T 130.1-2015)
Green printing product sampling method and test site determination principle (CY/T 131-2015)
Green printing products - Qualification criteria - Part 1: Printed prints (CY/T 132.1-2015)
Of course, more industry standards are still being developed, such as:
Green Printing Product Qualification Judgment Guidelines Part 2: Packaging Prints (CY/T 132.2-201X)
General requirements and evaluation methods for green printing - Part 2: Gravure printing (CY/T 130.2-201 X)
Green Printing Standard System Table (CY/T XXX-201 X)
These standards focus on the implementation of energy saving, consumption reduction, pollution reduction and efficiency improvement targets throughout the product life cycle, to reduce pollution from the source, improve resource utilization efficiency, and reduce or avoid the production and discharge of pollutants during production services and product use. To mitigate or eliminate the harm to human health and the environment. These industry standards are set by the experts of the whole industry, which clearly guides the company to gradually implement green printing. The company can fully self-diagnose, self-improve and upgrade according to the standards.
It is believed that with the introduction of these four departments, enterprises have a clearer technical basis for implementing green printing.
Reference Standard
In addition, in the system of green printing standards in China, there are still some cited standards, which also play an important role in promoting the development of green printing in China, such as:
Lithographic decoration prints (GB/7705-2008)
Paper, printing quality requirements and inspection methods for textbooks in primary and secondary schools (GB/T18359-2009)
Energy Management System Requirements (GB/T23331)
Environmental Management System Requirements and Use Guide (GB/T24001)
Determination of phthalate plasticizers in polyvinyl chloride plastics for toys and children's products (GB/T22048-2008)
Textiles - Determination of formaldehyde - Part 1: Free and hydrolyzed formaldehyde (water extraction method) (GB/T2912.1-2009)
National Toy Safety Technical Specification (GB6675)
Quality requirements and test methods for lithographic prints (CY/T 5-1999)
Limits of harmful substances in water-based adhesives for printing and processing (CY/T 87-2012)
Technical requirements for environmental labeling products, offset printing inks (HJ/T 370-2007)
Preparation method of volatile organic compound detection test sample for printing materials for paper printing products (CY/T127-2015)
Determination of six phthalates in adhesives, inks and coating formulations. GC/MS (SN/T3114-2012)
