The conventional refining equipment in the pulp and paper industry is a knife-type refiner such as a disc refiner. However, it has only a single refining function and high refining energy consumption. The World Pulp Pulp & Paper Joint R&D Center of Shandong Yongfeng Paper Group cooperates with famous research institutes. The newly developed dual-roll mill is a knifeless refiner. It has a small cutting effect in the refining process, a sufficient fiber length, and a good quality of the refining. In the process of refining, the double-roll mill can also complete the functions of slurry washing, decomposed silk, fiber softening, waste liquid extraction, pulp bleaching and concentration, low water consumption, and low power consumption. It reduces energy consumption by more than 50% compared to blade-type refiners such as disk mills, and reduces pulping water consumption by 90%. The grinding and bleaching integrated pulping production process, with the double-roll mill as the core equipment, completes the pulping and bleaching process in traditional pulp production in the same twin-roll mill. The pulp produced by this system has the advantages of high yield, high whiteness, high strength, low waste liquid pollution load, and the like. Only a few hundred kilograms of waste liquid can be produced from a ton of pulp. After simple treatment, it can be recycled into the wash tank, greatly reducing the cost of traditional sewage treatment.
