Printing process to see the difference between printing ink and screen printing ink

From the point of view of the printing process, there is no similarity between pad printing inks and screen printing inks. Screen printing inks exhibit the mechanical structure under the pressure of the squeegee, and the pad printing inks are more of a property of the transferred performance.
The transferability of offset inks plus the plasticity of on-press inks should be ideal for pad printing inks. Screen printing ink In order to achieve its permeability, it is necessary to add a certain amount of lubricant, but pad printing ink does not require such ingredients. In order to realize the deinking property of the pad printing ink, the pad printing ink adds a certain material such as a release agent, and the screen printing ink does not need. The ink thickness of the screen printing ink is thick and the writing marks are conspicuous. In order to achieve the same effect, the color density of the pad printing ink must be high.
Screen Printing Water-based inks are commonly used in the field of textile printing, but at present, it is difficult to use aqueous inks in the printing industry. This is another difference. There are two reasons for this defect of pad printing. One is that the steel plate has poor water resistance, and the water ink easily erodes. Of course, if we replace the resin plate, we can rule out this factor, but the transferability of the rubber head will be limited. It is still difficult to allow silicone rubber to transfer enough water-based ink.
The maintenance of the shape of the pad printing ink on the surface of the pad printing head requires that the pad printing ink has a sufficiently good activity lag. Otherwise, the ink pad is likely to become unclear. On the other hand, the cohesion of the print formed on the surface of the plastic head is significantly greater than the surface tension of the silicone rubber, and has a release function, such as a thermal transfer ink on top of the thermal transfer film. The complete transfer of pad printing ink to the surface of the product is the most important requirement for pad printing ink, but the complete transfer of the ink is only an ideal situation. In general, the ink can only transfer 86%. Although the original pad printing ink was replaced by screen printing ink, it cannot be said that printing ink is screen printing ink. The theory of ink is suitable for all printing processes, but different printing processes have detailed requirements.
