GTC Technologies recently announced that GTC Technologies will provide its CrystalPX crystallization process technology to South Korea's LG-Gadders.
According to reports, LG-Gadders has planned to build a 400,000-tonne paraxylene plant in Yeosu, South Korea. The factory is scheduled to start production in 2003. At present, LG-Gadders has already had a PX joint venture with a capacity of 700,000 tons/year in Lishui. The new plant will make LG-Gadders one of the world's largest commercial production companies for paraxylene.
GTC Technologies said that the grant of the CrystPX crystallization technology to LG-Galdos indicates that the technology will soon be used in industrial production.
LG-Gadders said that this new technology will simplify the design and equipment of the planned PX plant and the production plant can be put into production earlier.
