According to the report of the national authoritative testing organization, the PI diaphragm power battery prepared by PI nanofiber diaphragm has obvious advantages in key technical indicators: high battery power density, can increase the charge and discharge rate of the battery by more than 4 times; long service life, cycle The life is increased by more than 700%; the calorific value is low, the temperature of the battery is reduced when the battery is discharged at a high current; the safety is good, and the PI diaphragm can withstand a high temperature of 530 degrees Celsius or higher, causing "dendritic" piercing in the perforation of the battery separator or long-term use when the automobile collides hard. In the case of a diaphragm, local overheating caused by a micro short circuit or a small area short circuit of the battery does not melt the PI diaphragm and causes the perforation area to continue to expand, that is, the short circuit area does not continue to expand and the temperature is out of control, causing the battery to explode and ignite.
At present, PI nanofiber membrane technology has completed the laboratory stage research, and it is expected that the first phase of the project will be able to gradually achieve 40 million square meters of production capacity within two years. If calculated according to 50% of new energy vehicle ownership, the annual demand for battery separators in China's auto market alone will reach 5.5 billion square meters.
