Heidelberg introduces the latest Anicolor ink supply unit

Heidelberg is about to introduce the new Anicolor ink supply unit installed on the Speedmaster SM52. Its main features are: it is very economical, the ultra-short version with very small prints is very cost-effective; the paper consumption after booting is reduced by 90%; the overall production capacity is improved. 25%; applies to plates and inks that are circulated on the market.

At IPEX2006, Heidelberg will exhibit the Anicolor ink supply unit installed on the Speedmaster SM52 4-color offset press. With this ink-free unit, the use of standard offset printing workflows can also handle ultra-short version jobs, and still have a higher profit margin. When printing with a Speedmaster SM52 offset press with an Anicolor ink supply unit, almost no overprinted paper is needed – only 10 to 20 sheets are needed, taking into account the difference in printed images. This means that start-up losses are reduced by 90%. Without the ink zone setting, the preparation time is reduced by 40%, and thus the capacity increase of the equipment reaches 25%.

Heidelberg developed the Anicolor ink supply unit to make printing without ghosting. Thanks to the web-adjusting device and the printing roller, almost the same amount of ink is supplied to the printing plate per cycle, and then the printing is done in a flat and solid manner. The Anicolor Ink Unit has an effective temperature control system so the plate is easily adapted to printing inks. The innovative Anicolor enclosed doctor blade system increases the speed of ink replacement while maintaining print quality while minimizing cleaning time. The more standardized the job is handled, the more Anicolor's innovative advantages can be realized.

Print shops that need to print less than 100 sheets per day will benefit from this innovative development. Many companies must consider how to effectively respond to the growing demand for short-run printing. Whether to use digital printing, but at the same time face the fact that the choice of printing paper is limited, the cost of long version or offset printing increases.

With the advent of innovative An-icolor ink supply unit technology, the advantages of offset printing can be demonstrated in the ultra-short version. The main advantage of the Speedmaster SM52 with An-icolor ink supply unit is that it can continue to use the universal media and inks on the market, thanks to the use of the proven Alcolor continuous dampening system. This means that short runs with very small print volumes will not increase costs due to the use of special plates or inks. In addition, the processing of paper by the existing Speedmaster SM52 system remains unchanged. At the same time, the large-volume long-lived jobs can also benefit from the variety of printing paper choices and high production speeds.

Anicolor is an optional device for the Speedmaster SM52. Since 2007, all models of the Heidelberg four-color machine will be available. At the IPEX2006 exhibition in Shanghai, Fort Worth will exhibit the Anicolor ink supply unit installed on the Speedmaster SM52 four-color machine. This is the world's first ink-less ink transfer unit. With the advent of this technology, printing companies can produce ultra-short live jobs in accordance with the standard offset printing process, and obtain a considerable profit.

The Anicolor Ink Unit has fewer rollers than traditional inking units. Therefore, the ink adjustment time is extremely short, and almost no overprint paper needs to be activated.
