(1) RGB settings - The predetermined value is "SRGB". This option is suitable for images on the screen or web page display, but is not suitable for color printing and publishing. And "ColorMatch RGB" or "Apple RGB" can be used as a printed publication. The screen contrast “Gamma,” “White Point,” and the “Primaries” are automatically changed following the “RGB” setting. Select "Display using monitor compensation" to make Photoshop colors and screen colors interact instantly.

(B) CMYK settings - Photoshop default color separation method (from RGB to CMYK color) is the use of its Photoshop color table, experienced people can modify the color table to obtain better results. Professionals can choose "ICC" to get the highest quality. If you select "ICC", you must select the appropriate output device profile, color management center, and color translation preferences. Unless the hardware and software allow the user to accurately set the Black Point, the item is not selected.

(C) Grayscale settings ---- can choose "RGB" or "Black Ink". The former is suitable for displaying grey images on web pages, the latter for printing.

* When spot color is converted to CMYK color, color management is also applied automatically.
* All gradients and pattern colors are also controlled by color management.

After launching Illustrator, select "file>color settings..." The color management window will appear. Here, you can select screen descriptions, printer descriptions, color management centers, and color translation preferences. To save files in PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and PS5 formats, select "Use Embedded ICC profile" for color management. If you want to simulate the colors on the screen, select "Simulate print colors on display".
