According to the American Fiber Box Association report, the United States shipped 31.64 billion square feet of corrugated boxes in January, a decrease of 0.3% from 31.743 billion square feet shipped in the same period last year.
As carton demand continued to weaken, US carton base paper producers continued to cut production due to market relations. In January, the carton store had 2.86 million tons of carton stock, a slight increase of 54,000 tons from 2.81 million tons in the same period last year.
In the United States, the production of containerboard paper in January was 3.2% higher than the same period of last year, and the export of containerboard was 216,800 tons, which was an increase of 6,700 tons compared with 21,110,000 tons in the same period of last year. It is basically the same as last year's average monthly export output of 220,500 tons.
