Printing equipment is a combination of several parts, which generate a lot of friction during operation. These frictions not only consume energy, but also cause wear and tear of parts. According to statistics, 1/3 to 1/2 of the world's energy is consumed by friction and heat, and about 80% of component damage is caused by friction. Therefore, it is of great significance to improve the lubrication of printing equipment, improve the reliability of equipment, extend the service life of components, reduce mechanical equipment failures, and reduce equipment maintenance costs.
Common lubrication methods and devices in the printing process
Usually, the lubricant can be classified into an oily liquid lubricating oil, a grease-like semi-solid grease, and a solid lubricant depending on the form. The first two lubricants are most commonly used in printing equipment, and different lubricants correspond to different lubrication methods and lubrication devices.
1. Lubrication method
The lubrication method refers to the method of sending the lubricant to each lubrication point according to the specified requirements, and can be simply divided into an oil lubrication method and a grease lubrication method, and each of the two methods has advantages and disadvantages.
(1) Oil lubrication method
The oil lubrication method has the advantages of good fluidity, good cooling effect, easy to filter and remove impurities, can be used for lubrication of printing equipment of different speeds, has a long service life, is easy to replace, and can be recycled. The disadvantage is that the sealing is more difficult.
(2) Grease lubrication method
The advantages of the grease lubrication method include: good adhesion on the metal surface, not easy to be lost, can be used in places that are not easy to seal, high in crush resistance, long in lubrication cycle, no need to frequently replenish or replace, suitable for a wide temperature range . The disadvantage is that the viscosity is large, the fluidity is poor, the addition and replacement are difficult, and the solid impurities are not easily removed after being mixed.
2. Lubrication device
The lubricating device is a general term for various components and equipment used to realize the lubrication supply of the lubricant. It is divided into an oil lubrication device and a grease lubrication device according to the lubrication method.
3. Selection of lubricant
At present, there are many brands of lubricants on the market, such as the Great Wall, Kunlun, Uni-President, Shell, Mobil, and BP in foreign countries. The author suggests that printing companies should try to use high-quality lubricants when conditions permit, to ensure that printing equipment works better. In addition, different lubricants should be selected for different parts of the printing equipment.
